A Jamesport man’s pick-up truck was declared a complete loss following a fire on Friday, May 15. Received call of a vehicle fire near Missouri Highway’s A and U.
Chillicothe Fire Department Battallion Chief Les Hinnen said in a press release that crews who arrived on the scene at 8:10 p.m., requested mutual aid from the Jamesport Rural Fire Department. “Upon arrival, Jamesport fire was on the scene of a 2001 Dodge 3500 pickup that was fully involved in fire,” Hinnen said.
The Jamesport fire crew had begun extinguishing the fire and CFD supplied their truck with additional water. A total of near 1000 gallons of water was used to extinguish the fire.
The vehicle was a total loss, according to Hinnen. A wrecker was called to tow the vehicle away.
CFD crews left the scene at about 9:35 p.m.
