2:03 a.m., Officer discovered where someone had damaged the light control box for the basketball court at Danner Park. Park authorities will be notified.

2:53 a.m., Officer checked on a vehicle in the 400 block of Cherry Street that the dome light was on. Vehicle was found to be secure.

6:53 a.m., Noise complaint from the 1500 block of Calhoun Street. Officer located a smoke detector and deactivated it.

7:34 a.m., Commercial business alarm in the 1000 block of Graves Street. Accidently activated by employee.

8:25 a.m., Officer out in the 1000 block of Graves Street on an investigation.

8:32 a.m., Officer out in the 300 block of S. Washington Street on a continuing investigation.

8:41 a.m., Officer assisted with traffic control for a wrecker service at Clay and Washington streets.

9:10 a.m., Officers out in the 2700 block of N. Washington on an investigation.

9:30 a.m., Officer out in the 200 block of S. Woodrow on an investigation.

9:36 a.m., Officer out at courthouse for court duties.

9:41 a.m., Officer out in the 100 block of Ryan Lane on report of illegal dumping. Subjects were contacted and picked up the dumped items.

10:07 a.m., Report of unruly subject at Hedrick Medical Center. Officer were able to calm the individual. No report.

11:23 a.m., Offices out in the 900 block of N. Washington Street. Attempted break-in of a storage shed. No entry gained.

11:31 a.m., Subject speaking with officer about retrieving property from a former employee. Subject advised of options.

11:32 a.m., Subject at the police department to speak with an officer in reference to a continuing investigation.

12:09 p.m., Officer taking patrol vehicle for maintenance.

12:31 p.m., Officer out in the 800 block of Cherry Street attempting to catch a dog that was running loose. Dog apprehended and transported to animal shelter.

12:50 p.m., Officer apprehended another loose dog from in the 1200 block of N. Washington Street. This dog was reunited with its owner before transport to animal shelter.

1:27 p.m., Officers took a report of property damage that had occurred in the 200 block of Jackson Street, around May 7. This investigation is on-going.

1:28 p.m., Report of a fight between two subjects in the 400 block of Elm Street. Officers checked area and the report was unfounded.

2:43 p.m., Officer out in the 100 block of N. Herriford Street on a check well-being. Officer unable to locate anyone.

3:28 p.m., Officers out in the 200 block of Jackson Street on an investigation.

3:39 p.m., Officer out in the 1800 block of Boyd Street on an investigation.

4:01 p.m., Officer out in the 100 block of Ryan Lane on a follow-up investigation.

4:04 p.m., Officers out in the 2700 block of N. Washington Street on an investigation.

6:06 p.m., Officers checked on minor traffic accident on business lot in the 1000 block of S. Washington Street. Parties exchanged insurance information.

6:15 p.m., Officers checking well-being of subject in the 400 block of Webster Street. Subject not at the residence.

7:14 p.m., Open door under bleachers of old Jerry Litton Stadium. The building was checked and secured.

7:30 p.m., Officer out in the 800 block of Broadway on investigation.

7:32 p.m., Officer out at Broadway and Jackson streets to make contact with subject reference a continuing investigation.

7:57 p.m., Officer contacted a subject in the 800 block of Clay Street in reference their vehicle having been sideswiped. Report was taken. Investigation continuing.

8:23 p.m., Report of kids on a four-wheeler in the area of Mack and St. Louis Street. Officers unable to locate the vehicles.

8:50 p.m., Check well-being of subject at 100 N. Herriford Street. Premises checked and no one located. Building was secured and subject later located. The subject asking for the check was notified.

10:23 p.m., Officer out in the 200 block of Clay Street on a continuing investigation.

11:29 p.m., Officer assisted with the removal of a bat from a residence in the 2500 block of Fairview Street.

5:49 a.m., Call for officers at animal shelter. Dogs trying to get to the cats. Situation handled by animal control and officers.

6:42 a.m., Officers out in the 1500 block of Bryan Street. Checking well-being of a cat. Issue resolved.

7:17 a.m., Officers called to suspicious activity at a residence on Vine Street. Determined to be owner moving his property out.

7:35 a.m., Officers responded to a business in the 300 block of South Washington Street for a report of a burglary, property damage and theft. This investigation is ongoing.

8:13 a.m., Officer performed a funeral escort for a local business.

9:15 a.m., Officer to the 700 block of Second Street to pick up some property.

9:19 a.m., Officer out at courthouse for court duties.

9:24 a.m., Officer out in the 300 block of S. Washington Street on continuing investigation.

9:33 a.m., Officer out in the 400 block of Reynard Street to return property. Officer unable to contact anyone.

9:37 a.m., Officers checking well-being of dog in the 900 block of Elm Street. Officers spoke with owner about daily care of animal.

11:18 a.m., Officers out in the 700 block of Cowgill Street on continuing investigation.

12:55 p.m., Officer contacted by subject with questions on police officer employment.

1:26 p.m., Report of dogs keeping local residents in the 400 block of Vine Street from getting their mail. Owners of the dogs were contacted and advised they would take care of the situation.

1:33 p.m., Officer speaking with subject on the phone reference a protection order.

1:48 p.m., Officer out in the 300 block of S. Washington Street on continuing investigation.

4:12 p.m., Officers out in the 600 block of St. Louis Street on possible drug violation. Investigation continuing.

4:20 p.m., Subject in the police department receiving citation for permitting dog to run at large.

4:36 p.m., Officer at police department working on follow-up investigation.

5:10 p.m., Suspicious vehicle in Chilli Bay Parking Lot. Subject checked by officers. Determined to be okay.

5:47 p.m., Officers investigated a one-vehicle, overturning vehicle crash near the east city limits on Ryan Lane. The vehicle was being driven by a 43-year-old Chillicothe resident and is still under investigation.

6:22 p.m., Officer speaking on phone with subject that’s possibly the victim of fraud. No report at this time.

7:10 p.m., Officer assisting Sheriff’s Office on possible sex offense within their jurisdiction.

7:47 p.m., Report of assault in a vehicle in the alleyway between Gale and Herriman streets, which caused the driver to go into a ditch and up against a wooden fence after having struck a utility pole and damaging the steering. witnesses and the driver were contacted and provided statements. Information on a suspect was obtained. The suspect will be contacted and possibility of charges being filed with juvenile authority.

7:50 p.m., Subject in the police department speaking with Officer in reference to a continuing investigation of theft.

8:02 p.m., Officer reported to the 200 block of Woodrow Street to a report of domestic assault. After investigating the incident, Officers arrested a 32-year-old male for the assault, processed him at the police department and transported him to Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail in lieu of the filing of charges.

8:56 p.m., Officer transporting prisoner to Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail.

9:11 p.m., Officer checked report of a vehicle blocking alleyway between Commercial and Missouri streets. Officer unable to locate vehicle blocking alleyway.

9:15 p.m., Officer transporting witnesses from earlier incident to the police department and obtaining statements.
