Chillicothe retail event set for June 26-27
Shopping local is always important, but now more than ever and three local organizations are encouraging area residents to support and encourage local businesses and the positive impact they have on the community of Chillicothe.
Now that Chillicothe is officially and completely open for business, Main Street Chillicothe, Visit Chillicothe and the Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce have teamed up for ‘Shop Your Heart Out’ on Friday and Saturday, June 26-27. The two-day event will be full of sidewalk sales, special promotions, deals, giveaways and more.
“The Shop Your Heart Out event is the perfect time to show some love to local businesses who have suffered economic hardships to varying degrees during the recent pandemic,” Pam Jarding, executive director of Main Street Chillicothe said in a press release.
Retailers and restaurants will set their own individual shopping hours and you can follow our Shop Your Heart Out event on Facebook for complete details.
“We encourage everyone to adhere to proper safety and social distancing guidelines and respect all policies of individual businesses,” Jarding said. “For those who prefer to shop online at this time, we will share some links on our Facebook page so that you can Shop Your Heart Out from home.”
Also during this event there will be gift card giveaways to 34 local businesses from a previously held online fundraiser designed to benefit our community. Each purchase entitles shoppers to enter the drawing in a participating business. Winners will be selected, announced and notified after the event.
