The Missouri Department of Economic Development is offering Community Development Block Grants for disaster recovery to address needs by communities impacted by the federally-declared disaster from April 28 to May 11, 2017.
More than $9.8 million is available to assist areas impacted by the disasters, which included severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds and flooding, according to a news release.
The federal Department of Housing and Urban Development allocated the funds Jan. 27 for public infrastructure needs.
Local projects can include restoring public infrastructure, streets, drainage and bridges. Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. Oct. 30.
