Richard Cranmer, age 80, a resident of Trenton, Missouri formerly of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Eastview Manor, Trenton, Missouri.

Tara Elaine Norman

Tara Elaine Norman, age 51, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at McLarney Manor, Brookfield, Missouri.

Tara was born the daughter of Don R. and Saundra (Smith) St. John on November 5, 1967, in St. Joseph, Missouri. She was a 1986 graduate of Chillicothe High School. Tara received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in social work from Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Marcus Norman on September 29, 1987, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1997. Tara worked as a social worker for the Chillicothe Correctional Center many years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Tara enjoyed cake decorating.

Survivors include her mother, Saundra St. John of the home; two sons, Derrick Norman and wife Kristin of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Allen (AJ) Bloss of Brookfield, Missouri; one daughter, Amanda Norman of Laclede, Missouri; two grandchildren, Piper Norman and Joseph Andrew Norman both of Chillicothe, Missouri; one sister, Jona Forte and husband Buck of Brookfield, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Don; husband, Mac; and one brother, Patrick St. John.

Phillip Dean Wilson

Phillip Dean Wilson, age 77, a resident of Springfield, Missouri passed away January 16, 2019. Dean was born to Arnold Wilson and Sidna (Patterson) Wilson on June 29, 1942. Dean spent his childhood in Chillicothe, Missouri, graduating from Chillicothe High School in 1961.

There was a memorial service on January 18, 2019.

Jerome Evans

Jerome “Jerry” Evans of Warrensburg, Missouri passed away Monday, January 21, 2019 at home with his family by his side.

He was born May 24, 1934 to his parents Warren and Wilma (Lily) Evans in Cairo, Mo. He graduated from Meadville High School and later from Northeast Missouri State/Truman State with a degree in Secondary Education. After graduation he married his high school sweetheart, Phyllis Sallee. While service three years in the Army, he was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany. After completing his service, he earned a Masters and Specialist Degrees in Education from the University of Missouri. Jerry served over 38 years in education as a teacher, coach, principal, and superintendent. He finished his career as a State Supervisor of Education.

Together, Jerry and Phyllis raised three daughters, Brenda, Teresa, and Carla. He took great pride and joy in traveling and camping with his family in the lower 48 states. He enjoyed following baseball, basketball, and football. Later he continued his passion to be with his family by attending his grandkids’ activities. After retiring, he and Phyllis enjoyed traveling across the United States and Europe. Jerry and Phyllis celebrated 63 years of marriage filled with wonderful memories.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Phyllis; three daughters, Brenda (Darrel) Frolin, Teresa Hays, and Carla (Cesar) Solano; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. His brother, Travis Evans, also survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son-in-law, Monty Hays, and a sister-in-law, Beverly Evans.

A visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at First Christian Church of Warrensburg. Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor Jerry Basye officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the First Christian Church Building Fund and can be left in care of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home.
