Frankie Maxine Herrera

Frankie Maxine Herrera, age 77, passed away on March 4, 2019, at her home in Miami, Florida.
Frankie was born in 1941 in Eversonville, Missouri, (north of Wheeling). She was the daughter of Arthur
and Opal (Gillespie) Fitzpartrick. She was one of six siblings: Daniel and Herbie Fitzpatrick, Jessie Rader,
Josephine Long and Norma Robinson. After graduating from wheeling High School, she bravely moved to
Miami, Florida.
She was proud to have worked for the Miami Herald for many years as a District Manager and later went
on to work for Graco paper & Paper Master as a buyer.
In 1997, she moved to Massachusetts and worked for Cort Furniture and Wakefield Materials before
retiring in 2007 and moving back to South Florida.
Frankie considered raising her family her greatest accomplishment! She loved fiercely and lived boldly with
unyielding courage and conviction. A great lady with a warrior’s heart, an adventurous spirit and plenty of
Moxie!
She is survived by daughters, Alicia Diaz of Miami, Florida, and Kimberly Coates of Atlanta, Georgia, and
her grandchildren Gabriel Figueroa, Anthony and Daniel Diaz, as well as Evan and Maxwell Coates. Also,
survived by two great-grandchildren, Tristan Figueroa and Autumn Rose Diaz. Additionally, she leaves
behind siblings, Norma Robinson, Josephine long and Herbie Fitzpatrick, as well as sisters-in-law Lucy and
Eudora Fitzpatrick, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held May 4, 2019, at 5701 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, Florida 33104 at 4 p.m.
