Noah Rinehart of the 2023 Chillicothe High School baseball Hornets takes a hefty cut during an early-innings at-bat as his teammates support him from the dugout at the Lathrop High School field during CHS’ Class 4 District 16 tournament game against Maryville last Wednesday evening. Although he went hitless, Rinehart – the Hornets’ top hitter in most statistical categories as a freshman this year – had a walk and Justin Pyle and Max Wagers singles as the Hornets tried a last-gasp rally in the final inning after trailing by three runs after six innings.
