In a moment that epitomizes the first half of the Chillicothe High School soccer HornetsÕ home match against St. Joseph: Bishop LeBlond this past Monday, CHS sophomore forward Adrian Trantham gets a high-quality, 1-on-1 scoring chance against the BLHS goalkeeper, only to see his rising shot snagged to keep the game scoreless through the first 40 minutes. Even though Trantham, who had two other glorious scoring opportunities in the opening half and then had a shot at a wide-open goal from only about five yards away elevate and crack off the crossbar in the second half, never saw his luck change, the Hornets as a team did finally convert on chances four times in the second half to square their Midland Empire Conference final record for 2025 at 3-3 with a 4-0 triumph.
