Due to both teams needing games, Marceline travelled to La Plata on Thursday to face the Bulldogs in consecutive games that both counted as Lewis & Clark competitions.

Marceline dominated both games, winning the first game 19-2 and taking the second game 13-0.

The first game lasted just three innings, and the second game lasted five.

"The bats got rolling, and we had an opportunity to get some girls into the game that we otherwise might not have," Marceline coach Todd Lowther said.

"I like what we did. It's been a long time since the bats were rolling that hot. We had a lot of girls with multiple hits."

Marceline travels to Putnam County's tournament on Saturday.
