12:02 a.m., Officers responded to 1500 block of Locust Street for a suspicious person. Officers checked the area and did not find anyone in the area.
1:36 a.m., Officers responded to the 300 block of Locust Street for a business alarm. Officers checked the business and found the alarm to be false.
6:11 a.m., Officers responded to the 1000 block of Graves Street for a suspicious person. Officers contacted the person and asked him to leave the business to which he complied.
10:32 a.m., Officers responded to the 1200 block of Walnut Street to recover property that was left in a yard. Officers recovered the property and are attempting to contact the owner.
10:37 a.m., Officers responded to the 200 block of Brunswick for a verbal disturbance. Officers spoke with the subjects involved who agreed to separate.
11:00 a.m., Officers responded to the 1400 block of Lambert Drive for a property damage report. Further investigation is to continue in this investigation.
12:42 p.m., Officers responded the 600 block of Walnut Street for a civil issue. Officers provided information to the person.
1:59 p.m., Officers responded to the 200 block of Webster Street for a civil issue. Officers advised the person of there options.
2:45 p.m., Officers responded to the 200 block of Clay Street for an illlegal burning. Officers contacted the subject and advised him of the city ordinance and had him extinguish the flame.
3:54 p.m., Officers responded to the 500 block of Ann Street for a civil issue. Officers advised the subject of his options.
5:13 p.m., Officers responded to the area of Clay Street for a noise complaint. Officers located the subject and asked him to turn down the music to which he agreed.
8:06 p.m., Officers responded to the 1300 block of Monroe for a disturbance. Officers located the subject who was trespassed from the property.

1:20 a.m., Officer provided a courtesy ride to Hedrick Medical Center to a walk-in at the police department that was requesting medical assistance.
2:49 a.m., Motorist assist request in parking lot of 2700 block of N. Washington Street. Vehicle was gone on officer’s arrival.
4:21 a.m., Officer provided a courtesy ride to a subject to their home from Hedrick Medical Center.
7:59 a.m., Officer out at YMCA for 5k run .
9:29 a.m., Officers out in the 1400 block of Polk Street on a well-being check with a subject reported to be having anxiety issues. Subject was transported to the police department, counseled and returned to residence.
11:10 a.m., Officers checking on animal welfare of kittens reported as being sold in the 600 block of S. Washington Street. Animals deemed to be taken care of. No report.
12:13 p.m., Officer out for special public relations event at Litton Ag-Center.
12:16 p.m., Officers returned to residence in 1400 block of Polk Street where the subject that was contacted earlier at 9:29 a.m., had become disorderly, trespassed and ultimately resisted officers and was then arrested. The subject was processed at the police department and transported to Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail in lieu of charges.
1:15 p.m., Officers assisted Emergency Services on a medical call in the 1200 block of N. Washington Street.
2:26 p.m., Officers transported prisoner to Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail.
6:30 p.m., Officers responded to a reported domestic disturbance in the 200 block of Cowgill Street. Determined to be verbal argument with one party being intoxicated. the subject was brought to the police department for being extremely intoxicated and held for detox and then released.
7:12 p.m., Alarm Company calling in a residential fire alarm in the 900 block of Dale Drive. Officers and Emergency Services responded to the address, contacted the resident and nothing found.
10:35 p.m., Officer out with young subject on bicycle and no apparent supervision in the 500 block of W. Business Highway 36. Officer contacted parent some distance away and counseled about necessary cautions and bicycle equipment.
11:19 p.m., Subject involved in an earlier reported leaving the scene accident in the police department to speak with officer. Officer obtained necessary information.
11:21 p.m., Officer out in the 1700 block of Third Street checking on reported fireworks violation. Handled by officer.
11:42 p.m., Officer out with subject in Simpson Park. Subject found to be juvenile and their mother came and picked them up.
On July 4, the Chillicothe Police received 61 calls for service.

12:25 a.m., Officer speaking on the phone to subject with questions on ownership of a vehicle. Determined to be a civil issue.
12:59 a.m., Call of suspicious vehicle in the area of J.F. Kennedy and Elm Street with a subject not in a car. Officer contacted subject at the scene, but not the car. Nothing criminal observed. The subject continued on his way.
1:07 a.m., Officer stopped the vehicle involved in the suspicious vehicle call reported at 12:59 a.m., in the 700 block of Locust Street. It was determined that they had given the subject that was contacted at J.F. Kennedy and Elm Street, a ride to that location. It was discovered that the driver possessed only an intermediate driver license and the subject’s mother was called to the scene to drive the vehicle home.
3:06 a.m., Commercial business alarm in the 800 block of S. Washington Street. Deliveryman set off the alarm. Alarm was reset and premises okay.
3:13 a.m., Request for well-being check of over-the-road truck driver that was parked in the 600 block of W. Business Highway 36. Subject was contacted and found okay.
7:57 a.m., Report of a vehicle and trailer parked in a driveway of a residence in the 900 block of Elm Street and the resident doesn’t know whose it is. Ownership was determined and the resident was going to contact the owner.
8:39 a.m., Officer assisted Animal Control with some wildlife that had gotten into a dumpster in Simpson Park and couldn’t get back out. Situation was remedied.
9:31 a.m., Officers were out in the 200 block of Brunswick Street to speak with residents with questions over an eviction situation.
1:55 p.m., Officer at the police department for a court-ordered fingerprinting detail.
2:13 p.m., Officer responded to a motor vehicle accident on private property in the 800 block of W. Business36. Information exchanged by the involved parties. No report.
2:36 p.m., Officer spoke on phone with subject who reported the loss of a debit card at business in the 1000 block of Graves Street. Investigation continuing.
2:56 p.m., Officers out in the 300 block of Jackson Street on a stolen vehicle investigation. Vehicle was determined to not be the stolen vehicle.
3:39 p.m., Officers out at 1st and Hickory streets on public relations detail.
3:43 p.m., Officers out in the 1300 block of Keith Street on an investigation. Negative contact made.
6:40 p.m., Report of dogs running loose in the 1100 block of Monroe. Dogs located and Animal Control to the scene to take control of them.
7:34 p.m., Loud music complaint in 1100 block of Olive Street. Subject was contacted by Officers. Will turn music down.
7:42 p.m., Officers out at 1st and Hickory streets on public relations detail.
8:00 p.m., Officer assisted Sheriff’s Office on a reported theft that occurred north of Chillicothe. Officer stopped the involved vehicle at Snow and N. Washington Street.
9:33 p.m., Report of debris in the roadway at Clay and Washington streets. Officer removed the debris.
