12:21 a.m., Officers assisted a stranded motorist near the intersection of U.S. Highway 65 and Missouri 190.
2:08 a.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 2600 block of Washington Street. As a result of the stop officers arrested a male subject for driving while intoxicated. The subject was transported to the Chillicothe Police Department where he was processed, issued a municipal citation and released with a court date.
10:18 a.m., Officers responded to the 800 block of Cherry Street for a report of a dog at large. Upon arrival contact was made with the dog owner and a warning was issued for dog at large.
10:23 a.m., Officer took a report of Violation of Order of Protection. Upon further investigation officers determined the subject had not violated the order.
10:40 a.m., Officers responded to the 1400 block of McVey for a domestic disturbance. Officers determined the disturbance was verbal in nature and no arrests were made. Both parties involved agreed to separate.
1:48 p.m., Officers conducted a follow-up investigation in the 200 block of Washington Street.
2:44 p.m., Officers assisted a stranded motorist in the 1900 block of Washington Street.
5:49 p.m., Officers responded to the 1000 block of Industrial Road for a report of an unsecured business. Officers checked the building and found everything to be okay and no sign of break-in.
5:51 p.m., Officers responded to the 10 block of 10th Street for a report of a vehicle that had been taken from a residence. Officers contacted the vehicle owner who did not want to report the vehicle stolen.
6:15 p.m., Officers took a report at the Chillicothe Police Department from a subject of a possible Ex-Parte violation. The investigation is ongoing.
6:32 p.m., Officers responded to the 300 block of Washington Street for a burglar alarm. Upon officers arrival the building was found to be secure.
7:53 p.m., Officers responded to the 500 block of Park Lane for a burglar alarm. Upon officers arrival the building was found to be secure.
7:59 p.m., Officers responded to the 10 block of Jennifer Lane for a report of a burglary. The suspect had fled the scene prior to officers arrival but the suspect has been identified and charges are pending.
9:28 p.m., Officers responded to the 2700 block of Washington Street for a report of a dog bite that had just occurred in the 1100 block of Comstock. Officers determined the subject was bitten by their own dog while attempting to train the dog. The subject sought medical treatment for the bit at Hedrick Medical Center. No charges will be filed.
On July 19, the Chillicothe Police Department received 71 calls for service.

12:24 a.m., Subject in the police department to speak with officer in reference to a continuing investigation.
3:47 a.m., Officers out in downtown area on business checks.
9:55 a.m., Subject in police department to speak with officer in reference information on a previous theft report.
10:07 a.m., Officer out in the 200 block of N. Washington Street on an investigation.
1:03 p.m., Officers responded to the 700 block of Harvester Road for a Chillicothe Municipal Utility pole that had been struck and damaged. It appeared the pole had been struck by a vehicle that had left the scene of the accident. The investigation is continuing.
1:53 p.m., Officers responded to the 200 block of Cowgill Street in reference to a subject with anxiety issues. Officers found that the subject had injured themselves and was transported to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment. After receiving treatment for injuries, the subject was transported to another medical facility for mental evaluation and treatment.
2:16 p.m., Officer speaking on the phone to subject reporting possible protection order violation. It was determined that the suspect had not been served with the order at this time. Officers attempting to locate subject for service.
4:21 p.m., Complaint of a careless and imprudent driver in 1900 block of N. Washington Street. Officers unable to locate vehicle.
5:35 p.m., Subject in the police department to speak with an officer and provide information on previously reported theft.
6:08 p.m., Officer out in the 200 block of N. Washington Street on an investigation.
6:16 p.m., Report of possible domestic incident in the area of U.S. Highway 65 and Harvest Drive. Determined that subject exited vehicle to speak with a subject and the other party drove off. No report.
6:29 p.m., Officer out in the 200 block of N. Washington Street on a follow-up investigation.
7:03 p.m., Officers requested to perform well-being check of subject that didn’t show up for child custody exchange. Subject found to be okay. Case on custody is being further adjudicated.
7:24 p.m., Report of kids attempting to damage a trash receptacle at Danner Park. Officers contacted juveniles and handled by officers.
7:30 p.m., Officer speaking with subject on phone with questions on child-restraint laws.
8:18 p.m., Officers speaking with subject in the 700 block of St. Louis Street with questions on protection order.
11:39 p.m., Report of what appears to be lights inside a vacant residence on Paul Street. Officers observed no lights and found the building appears secure.
On July 18, the Chillicothe Police received 60 calls for service.
