Littering violations solved and cleaned
A littering investigation that began on Aug. 31 has been solved by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO). According to Sheriff Steve Cox, Deputy Dustin Woelfle started an investigation on Aug. 31 of unknown person(s) dumping large amounts of shingles and roofing materials in multiple locations in the northwest part of Livingston County.
“The investigation showed a local building had recently had roof work and the materials matched up with what had been done there. It was determined a contractor had basically subcontracted all or part of this job and two juveniles involved had dumped the shingles,” Cox said in a press release. “The contractor was upset when he learned about the littering and worked with the various landowners and cleaned up the multiple locations.”
Cox added that the juvenile’s partners and the juvenile office has been notified.
