Love those summer nights!!
Here’s wishing our Mother, June Sowder, a very Happy Birthday #95, on Friday. We love you Mother, you are the very best. What a role model you have been throughout our lives. June, we love you and know you are very comfortable in your senior years at Morningside Center. If you would like to drop her a note or card, address—1700 Morningside Drive, Chillicothe, Mo. 64601.
Chillicothe R-II District office building plans are out for bid. Such wonderful progress and news for our community. The design for the new district office nearly complete, Strata Architecture + Preservation, like in Claire Ashbrook, Chillicothe High School graduate and daughter of Tom and Julie Ashbrook. The building will be located to the west of Jerry Litton Stadium, once the contract is awarded, construction will begin mid-July and be complete mid- December and will be in house by end of the year. Another great statement, the complex is being built using insurance money from the flooding of the former district building, with no funds taken from the district budget.
All in the fun of summer sports-- our compliments to Jim Valbracht and Phil Burgess on their golfing skills. A Hole in One is monumental in a round of golf and these guys did just that during the month of May out at Green Hills Golf Course. I am sure their names are added to the Wall at Green Hills- congratulations, lots to talk about. Again so great for Jim, our neighbor and retired Judge and to Phil who I just met, what a swell guy.
So proud for her—Harlie Jones completed her recent college year like so many students throughout the area, at home, online and she certainly finished strong a 4.0, at the University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg. So great for this young lady and now spending the summer hard at work.
Compliments to Michaela Koon, Chillicothe, as nurse manager of Life Options Green Hills
