The Chillicothe Fire department responded to a local restaurant after reports of smoke in the building.

According to a press release from Lt. Rob Williams, crews responded to Domino’s pizza, located at 1307 N. Washington St., with Engine 1 and Ladder 1 after being dispatched at 4:11 p.m., to a report of smoke in the building.

Williams stated crews saw no smoke when they initially arrived. However, a manager on site

reported smoke in the office area and fire crews found light smoke conditions and smell present upon entry.

The source of the smoke and fire smell was found to be a motor on HVAC unit. The power turned off at the breaker box.

Smoke was cleared without further help from fire crews, and the units returned to service at about 4:27 p.m.
