The Grand River Historical Society Museum is hosting Fiber Days on Sept. 19.

“Time to shake off the cobwebs from a summer visiting with COVID,” Pam Clingerman, curator of the museum said

From 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, the historic “Fiber Days” event will be held at the museum., located at 1401 Forest Dr.

“We will be demonstrating spinning, weaving, and other of the traditional arts using some of the museum collection,” Clingerman said. “Come and find out what a Niddy Noddy is, or how to run a swift, or try your hand at spinning, knitting or crochet.”

There will also be a blacksmith demonstrating his trade and some of the museum’s vintage vehicles will also be on display.

The museum will be open during the event and Clingerman said there are several new exhibits.
