CHILLICOTHE – Two tax rate hearings have been scheduled for Thursday in Livingston County. One includes the county nursing home district, while the other addresses the Sampsel Township. 

The first hearing will be held by the Livingston County Nursing Home District. It is set for Thursday, Aug. 21, at noon in the Morning Side Center Conference Room. The proposed tax rate is .1464 per $100 of assessed valuation, designated for the General Revenue Fund.

Also Thursday, a public hearing for the Sampsel Township Tax Rate will take place at 6 p.m. at 8554 LIV 511. The proposed rate is .9422 per $100 of assessed valuation. That rate is broken down as follows: .0999 for the general fund, .4925 for the road and bridge fund, and .3498 for the added road fund.
