Members of Chillicothe High School’s girls’ tennis 2022 Class 1 district champions – crowned Tuesday by a 5-3 win at Kirksville – include, from left: Front – juniors Bryton BeVelle and Izzy Garr, seniors Cami Carpenter and Madison Kieffer, junior Rylee Washburn, and sophomore Micah Crowe; Back – assistant coach Lily Pyrtle, sophomore alternates Emma Thomas, Keeley Shira, and Keonnia Morgan, and first-year head coach Sophie Chambers. Having tken a fourth district crown in a row, they’ll host the state-tournament sectional and quarterfinal team matches Monday at the Daryl Danner Memorial Park courts, beginning that morning.
